5. Jaime Lannister
The journey of Jaime Lannister has been a roller coaster ride of emotions through Game of Thrones' first five seasons. When the show began, he was clearly defined as an incestuous spoiled brat capable of such villainy as tossing an innocent child presumably to his death out of a tower window. But as the show progressed, so has his character, and the man we know now is significantly different that the Lannister twin we were first introduced to. The warrior who was once known as the fiercest in the land - a man whom all others feared for his proficiency with a sword has been broken both emotionally and physically. Whereas we once despised him for his role in the dispute between his family and the Starks, he gradually won viewers over with the soft spot he developed toward Brienne and his love for his brother, with Jaime granting him mercy in the face of certain death. The Kingslayer is now on a personal quest of redemption to prove to himself that hes more than just a one-handed shell of the man he once was, and his quest to free his daughter/niece from the land of Dorne is about to get very interesting. Its been a gripping turn of character for Jaime, and we want to see it continue. Plus, if HBO doesnt give us a Cooper & Darnell spin-off series they clearly hate money. Make that happen.
