8. Cersei Lannister

Cersei's in the middle of a rollercoaster, but where does the ride end? She's watched Lannisters crumble around her, and from the heights of the her loveable Joffrey's era to the depths of Season 5's walk of shame, her journey has been hugely contrasting. But while Cersei has long since been linked to dying, she's still hanging in there. In the entire run of the show, Lena Headey has featured in 44 of the 50 episodes as Cersei. Only Peter Dinklage's Tyrion has appeared in more (46), while the supposed main characters Daenerys and Jon have only been in 41. Cersei is a major player, and while rumours of her demise will continue to swirl, she could yet surprise everyone by seizing the Throne with her last ounce of power.
