Game Of Thrones' 15 Hardest Characters (And How Likely They Are To Survive)

5. What’s Left Of The Mountain

The Mountain Game Of Thrones
HBO

Remember when I said ambiguous death was a cushy gig? At the tail end of Season 6 Gregor Clegane got demoted from ambiguous death to half-alive zombie thrall... and that’s, frankly, being generous.

It has been heavily implied that Qyburn is a full-blown necromancer, meaning he could already be completely dead while his corpse runs amok for Cersei.

The mountain can cut the head clean off of a horse with one stroke and it is said he has cut many men completely in half with his great sword. He is so big that he wields it like a broadsword and, as such, has an abnormal combination of reach and power. However, it’s what he does with his bare hands that concerns the people of Westeros.

In his current condition he may have lost some of that unexpected speed that Bronn has observed but he may be that much harder to kill. It's unknown what exactly is still functioning normally and under what power, so Gregor is most certainly a dubious prospect for a would-be attacker.

Given his involved functionality promised for Season 6 his chances of remaining, in his current state, are very good.
