11. Tormund
"I like you, boy, but if you lie to me, I'll pull your guts out through your throat."
Tormund, the least sexy ginger in Game Of Thrones, is installed safely in Castle Black coming into Season 6. This is a large man with a great deal of power and speed. Being a wildling, he lacks discipline but his unquestioning reliance on instinct and his animalistic ferocity make him tough as nails.
Being fond of Jon snow is not a safe past time for anyone, least of all wildlings, but there is a rapport there that should not go unexplored. This will likely however result in Tormund’s death in the service of this friendship.
There is little this man can’t overcome but his protective and feral nature will no doubt see him getting between insurmountable danger and someone he wants to protect. Being so hard and so close to the balance of nature, it is unlikely that he is even afraid of death.
I just hope it’s a good one befitting a man of Tormund’s strength and sensibilities if he does in fact die. He’s proven to be worth the airtime.
