In a sequence with Tyrion going to reunite with his brother in King's Landing, who would have thought the most memorable scene would be when they try to make their getaway?

As Gendry and Davos load up their boat, they're interrupted by a pair of enthusiastic City Watch officers. The scene that follows is tense and hilarious as Davos bargains his way out of an arrest, only to be interrupted by a rather unfortunate arrival from Tyrion.

This scene is a brilliant showcase for both Davos and Gendry. We get to see the smuggler Davos used to be come out in his bargaining and bribing of the guards, and when that fails, Gendry picks up the slack with his custom-made war hammer. An excellent mix of suspense and comedy, this scene managed some of the best tension of the season without so much as a single dragon.
