One of the biggest theories surrounding Game of Thrones involves a character who is essentially just a minor figure in the shows, but still gets a mention every so often by Arya Stark. Syrio Forel was her original sword-master who taught her the ways of a balanced, talented fighter. When guards came to claim Arya, he stayed and fought with naught but a wooden stick and it was strongly implied that he had died. His death was hardly an enormous moment considering everything that happened in the show at that time, but some fans have compiled a theory that suggests Syrio Forel was not killed, and that he wasn't even Syrio Forel. Yes, crazy, but there are fans who convincingly argue that Syrio is actually Jaqen H'ghar, the Faceless Man, in disguise and that he'd been training Arya up from a young age. For what purpose?
