Game Of Thrones: 7 Characters Could Rise From The Dead (And How)
4. Stannis
Stannis Baratheon's self-destruction was colossal. He was defeated on the Blackwater by wildfire, and as devastating as that was to his cause, it wasn't as final as his defeat en route to Winterfell where he quite literally lost everything. His men and horses were dying in the freezing cold, he cast his greatest advocate Davos back to Castle Black, he burned his daughter at the stake, his wife committed suicide out of guilt, and Melisandre fled back to the Wall. And then before he could even prepare, Stannis' final advance on Winterfell ended by immediately being slaughtered by the Boltons. Brienne came upon a dying Stannis and swung her sword, but there was no confirmation over whether she removed his head, or stopped short of his neck. If she did keep him alive, he wouldn't serve a great deal of purpose under Brienne's command, though his storyline is not over in the books, meaning that a remarkable comeback in the show isn't completely impossible - regardless of what the producers claim.
