4. Arya/Jon/Tyrion Love Triangle (Yes, REALLY)

One of the most bizarre early plans also revolves around Arya. When Catelyn seeks shelter at Castle Black, Arya is reunited with her half-brother Jon and the pair develop feelings for one another... Jon remains faithful to his vows, and the pair never act on their incestuous love. However, their attitudes relax when Jon's parents are revealed (suggesting that Ned indeed isn't his father) but complications arise when Tyrion Lannister falls for Arya as well. This makes Jon and Tyrion resent each other greatly during their time together. Thankfully, Martin went an entirely different direction with the story, even if Arya and Jon are very close in the sibling sense of the word and nothing further.
