Game Of Thrones: 8 Reasons 'Battle Of The Bastards' Is The Show's Most Overrated Episode

2. Ramsay's Death Scene Was Botched

Yeah, Ramsay's death was brilliantly 'ironic' because he spent so much of his time feeding other people to the dogs and then he got his comeuppance when Sansa made the decision to feed him to the dogs... I get it.

My one complaint with this - aside from the predictability of it, which I discussed earlier in the article - is that we didn't get to see the dogs devouring him in a particularly graphic or gruesome way. It wasn't bloody or violent enough, and given that Ramsay has essentially been "the big bad" for two years, audiences deserved to see this guy being ripped to pieces in order to make it appropriately cathartic.

The mere implication of his death, after a dog is seen biting into his face, just wasn't satisfying enough. The camera cuts away far too quickly and the death itself happens off-screen. Why couldn't we see Ramsay cowering up against the wall, screaming and p*ssing himself as the flesh is slowly torn from his body?

Instead, I felt genuinely robbed by the way Ramsay's death was shot; the idea was fine (if not a little clichéd), but the execution was lacking. After all the terrible things he did to others, we needed to see this guy eaten alive in graphic detail.
