Game Of Thrones: George R. R. Martin Gets Another TV Deal

Game of Thrones writer and A Song Of Ice and Fire author George R. R. Martin's been approached by HBO-owned Cinemax for the rights to his 1989 novella, Skin Trade, the author announced on Sunday11th October. The story follows female protagonist Randi Wade, a private investigator and her friend Willie Flambeaux, who just happens to be a werewolf. Not a direwolf, but an actual werewolf. When mutilated, skinned bodies start to appear, Randi is called to the case. Although the possibility would have been awesome, Martin admits that he won't be writing or running the show quite like he is with Game of Thrones (and all the "Thronies" sigh with relief because, you know, he has other things he should be doing), and he even joked that he would have "loved" to write the pilot and run the show for Cinemax but he's a little too busy these days. "I have this book to finish," he said. "You know the one." Well, that should make Game of Thrones fans very very happy and even sent some fans into a frenzy when they read the word "finish". Others are a little more sceptical as he's been using the word "finish" for the last 8 years, but we can but dream. Are you happy to see Skin Trade adapted?
