Game Of Thrones: How The Battle Of Winterfell Should Have Gone

Game Of Thrones Jon Snow
HBO

This accounted for The Night King kills Bran. Beheads him just as Jon arrives in the Godswood to see him do it. Just like Rickon, another brother killed right in front of him. The Whites and all the undead in the Godswood part a gap and leave the path open, finally to the Night King. Jon is trembling with rage, fear, we don’t know, and we finally get the 1 v 1 fight between them.

You can picture this in your own head. Incredibly sad music as Jon rages through his tears against an emotionless and vastly stronger opponent. It looks like he might get the upper hand when the Night King stabs him through the shoulder with his sword Jon, screaming, falls to the ground.

The Night King looks to two of his undead who shuffle over and slowly pick Jon up and hold him in front of the Night King, Jon looks and sees one of them is Beric Dondarrion.

The Night King places his finger over Jon's face and slowly begins to turn his eye blue, just like he did with the baby in season 4, he begins to turn him into a White when we hear a knife. The Night King looks down at the Catspaw Dagger in his chest, and then up to see that the face of Beric is, in fact, Arya. He shatters, the sword in Jon’s shoulder shatters, and all the dead around him fall to the ground.

Jon collapses into Arya’s arms and asks, "what did you do".

She pauses and replies, "what you told me to do... stuck him with the pointy end".
