Game Of Thrones Preview: What To Expect From Season Finale Mother's Mercy
2. Jon Is Challenged
One of the images released (above) shows Jon reading a letter and looking, well, like Jon Snow, which is to say rather troubled and downbeat. In the teaser Sam asks him what hes going to do. Davos will presumably be reaching Castle Black in this episode, bringing with him Stannis request for more supplies. Could that be who the letter is from, or will it be word from elsewhere - perhaps even a threat from the Boltons? One thing is sure: Jon has a choice to make, and he better think very carefully about it. He may be Lord Commander, but his relationship with his brothers is already extremely strained. It probably won't take much to push them over the edge into more of a full-blown mutiny, especially given the way the show has been setting up Olly as an enemy of Jon, and the synopsis does say that Jon is challenged. Hes faced down White Walkers, but may now have to deal with a much more human threat.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
