5. Rickon Stark
The Umbers have been holding onto Rickon alongside Osha for
the past couple of seasons, but now the tides have turned and wildings have
flowed through the Wall, Rickon turned into a hostage and Osha paid a heavy
price for contesting that.
Rickon does come with the Stark name, but is he totally essential? Sansa is the main name-carrier though she also knows that Bran is still out there, while Jon could yet earn the title.
Reclaiming Rickon is a sentimental matter, but not a politically crucial objective. The more Starks, the more credibility their claim has, though enough will rally to Sansa’s cause without needing Rickon to be there.
