Game Of Thrones Season 5: Ranking All Episodes Worst To Best

10. Episode 6 - Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken

There were no truly bad episodes in Season 5, but there were certainly episodes that left a lot to be desired, none more so than Episode 6 Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken. They're the words of the Martell family, and looked a certainty to be the episode that finally brought Jaime and Bronn clashing with the Sand Snakes. Unfortunately, the trio of beautiful assassins failed to deliver on their high-billing, and the fight in the Dornish Water Gardens was fairly bland by comparison to other fight scenes across the history of the show. It was an underwhelming arrival to the show in a storyline that offered little. There were some good scenes of dialogue between Cersei and Littlefinger, as well as the Queen Mother with Olenna, while Sansa's rape scene came at the end of the episode. It garnered widespread controversy, but it was not glamourised and certainly paints a vivid image of how women were treated in medieval times. It was not enjoyable to watch in the slightest, though it was a powerful scene. Best Moment: Sansa's scene was heartbreaking, but the most intriguing moment came when Arya was introduced to the Chamber of Faces. Her storyline had slowed down, but this offered a new direction for her.
