6. Another Under-Developed Side-Location

The Iron Islands are the new Dorne. You couldn't get two regions further from each other in terms of values. Season 5 saw the exotic Dornish lands with deserts, the luxurious water gardens, vivid colours and striking fashions, now we're going to see the radically contrasting Ironborn taking the side-stage. The Greyjoy name sums up the Iron Islanders. They're a cold, rough race, hardened by the salty sea and will come with hearts of iron. They don't know what flamboyant luxury is, yet that's the way they want to live. Dorne was an underdeveloped location and the scenes there were a major low of Season 5, so it's up to the Ironborn in Season 6 to prove side stories are worthy of the show.
