6. Another Daenerys Diversion

I like that Daenerys is inexperienced at this whole 'ruler' game. That aspect of naivety has provided an interesting journey to follow, despite many criticising the meandering scenes at Meereen. However, Thrones is slowly swallowing her up to the point where Dany's payoff needs to be jaw-dropping to justify the hype surrounding her. As we approach Season 6, watching Daenerys is like watching an easily-distracted child. There's an end-goal she needs to focus on, but she keeps getting side-tracked by anything and everything. The Dothraki, the Sons Of The Harpy, the slave liberations, the court room tribulations, and now? Back to the Dothraki. Thankfully this is a storyline that doesn't have to start from scratch, but it's just another way to kill time when Daenerys should surely be starting to make an advance on the grand prize, otherwise she'll be all hype, no end product.
