Game Of Thrones Season 6: 10 Ups And 2 Downs From 'Book Of The Stranger'

3. The Pink Letter

Game of Thrones Pink Letter Sansa Jon Brienne
HBO

Jon receives a letter from Ramsay Bolton, meaning we finally got a show version of the 'Pink Letter'. It's all rather different in the books, of course, as it was Arya (well, Jeyne Poole) that Ramsay was married to, and it's Mance Rayder he has captive (also, Jon received the letter before he was stabbed). The end goal is the same though, in that it's leading Jon to a war with the Boltons.

The letter here is particularly savage in its detail, so much so that Jon refuses to read all of it. That allows for Sansa to take charge, and show just how much of a leader she's becoming, by finishing it, despite the threats to her made within. It brings together together so many great characters - Pod, Brienne, Tormund, and Davos all fighting together?Count me in - and propels us in to the next stage of Jon and Sansa's story, as they need to go on a recruiting mission for some help.

Thankfully, the North remembers.
