Game Of Thrones Season 6: 12 Big Things We Still Haven't Seen

5. The Siege Of Riverrun

Blackfish Brynden Tully Game of Thrones
HBO

Another returning character we've not seen yet, and someone who has been missing even longer, is Brynden 'Blackfish' Tully. He was last seen in Rains of Castamere, luckily escaping the Red Wedding massacre by a conveniently timed trip to relieve himself.

Quite how he escaped, and where he'll be in Season 6, is something that - much like the character himself - remains to be seen. In the books he is holding Riverrun even while the other Lords around the Riverlands surrender. He is besieged by Lannisters and Freys, but eventually agrees to parley with Jaime Lannister. After that, with Riverrun about to be finally surrendered, the Blackfish escapes by swimming down a river, and his current whereabouts are unknown.

The most likely scenario for Season 6 is that we'll be seeing the Siege of Riverrun, even if the show has largely moved past the books, but how much they'll show of it, and what Brynden will be doing afterwards, is a mystery.
