Game Of Thrones Season 6: 12 Things We Learnt From The New Images And Trailer

8. Arya Is Still Blind

Season 5 ended up Arya Stark losing her sight, in what was a pretty cool scene (coming after an even better one in which she brutally killed Meryn Trant), and she's still going to be blind as Season 6 gets underway. Not only is she blind, but she's also back out on the streets, cast out from the House of Black & White and left to survive in Braavos. It's not all bad though, as becoming blind will heighten Arya's other senses. In the books, she's left begging and trying to hear pieces of information, which means she gets better at lying, and telling when others are telling lies. Further than that, and excitingly for the show, it's when she is blind that she begins to have wolf dreams, and discovers her ability to warg into her direwolf Nymeria. That in turn leads to the discovery of Catelyn Stark's corpse. The show has progressed past that point, and parts of Arya's story are beyond the time she should've been blind, but it's still good to see that they are going back and doing it, and intriguing to see how it plays out.
