Game Of Thrones Season 6: 7 Things You Might've Missed In Book Of The Stranger

7. The Wars To Come (Again)

Game of Thrones is heading for a big War for the North, at least if Sansa and Jon go ahead with the plan to call their banners and go meet the Boltons on the battlefield (which they will). The characters, meanwhile, seem to be pretty open predicting that it's happening, since they can't stop talking about "the wars to come."

The returning Littlefinger is the one who gets to say what is apparently a very popular phrase in Westeros these days, when talking about Yohn Royce: "If we could trust his absolute loyalty, he would make a capable commander in the wars to come.

This is slightly different from the previous instances, which came last week in Oathbreaker, and previously in Season 5 (in an episode named after the phrase), with both Ser Arthur Dayne and Mance Rayder saying: "I wish you good fortune in the wars to come."
