Game Of Thrones Season 6: 8 Most Disappointing Characters
1. Euron Greyjoy
"Pirate, man in his 40’s to late 50’s. He’s “an infamous pirate who has terrorized seas all around the world. Cunning, ruthless, with a touch of madness.”He’s a dangerous-looking man. A very good part this season."
That was the casting call for Euron Greyjoy, and Danish actor Pilou Asbaek was the man called upon to bring him to life. He ticks all of the boxes in terms of looks, with astonishingly similar features to his on-screen nephew Theon.
But unfortunately, Euron fell flat. He just didn't make any impact on the show. The wild Greyjoy failed to deliver the levels of 'madness' expected of him, nor did he give off a devastatingly dangerous presence. He barely had any time to develop or for the fans to really get to know him.
Euron faded from view very quickly, but even when he was on-screen, he seemed tame compared to his rabid description. Fireworks were expected from Euron, but fans were only rewarded with a sparkler.
A big moment early in Season 7 would be enough to explode Euron into the fans' minds, but for now, he's just another rough-and-tumble warrior with a disposable life.
