Game Of Thrones Season 6 Finale: 10 Big Questions We're Asking After 'The Winds Of Winter'
4. Is Jon Going To Learn The Truth?
Finally. 20 years after George R.R. Martin's saga began, and six seasons on from the start of the TV show, the biggest mystery - Jon's parentage - has been revealed, and the biggest theory - R+L=J - has been confirmed.
Setup earlier in the season, we return to Bran's visions to follow Ned up the steps and into the Tower of Joy, and it is as absolutely beautiful as it is tragic. Lyanna gives birth, but loses her life; Rhaegar dies without ever meeting his son; Ned, a man defined by his honour, sacrifices it in order to keep a promise to his sister; and so far, Jon never learns the truth.
That is surely about to change though, right? I imagine the show will have some time where Bran and the audience know about it, but Jon doesn't, but at some point he needs to know that he's half-Stark, half-Targaryen, especially with his Aunt Daenerys coming to Westeros. Will Bran tell him if/when he eventually makes it to Winterfell? Or could Littlefinger, who clearly knows more about the situation than he lets on, reveal it as part of his plan to install Sansa as Lady of Winterfell.
