5. Michelle Fairley Says So

EW spoke to Michelle Fairley some time ago about the fan reaction to Lady Stoneheart and the clamour for her to appear, and unfortunately she seemed pretty resolute. When asked outright about her character's return, Fairley said "Yeah, the character’s dead. She’s dead."

And when pressed on her own opinion on the resurrection arc:

"You respect the writers’ decision. I knew the arc, and that was it. They can’t stick to the books 100 percent. It’s impossible—they only have 10 hours per season. They have got to keep it dramatic and exciting, and extraneous stuff along the way gets lost in order to maintain the quality of brilliant show."

Now, obviously Kit Harrington did the same thing on the publicity trail ahead of season 6, BUT there was a sense of trickery about everything he said. Here, it sounds a lot more final.
