10. Sam

Sam Tarly is heading home. For a man on the Wall, that's a rarity and would be a welcome relief to most, but for Sam, it's the worst news he could ever hear. He's going to Oldtown for maester training, but he'll be going close to Horn Hill, home of Randall Tarly, who we already know will be making an appearance this year. Randall is the Lord who sent Sam to the Wall for no greater crime than simply being a disappointment to him. If the pair are reunited - which they almost certainly will - then things could become extremely messy. It would be disappointing to see Sam killed off but it's certainly not impossible.
