Game Of Thrones Season 7: 11 Crucial Things That Must Happen
3. Jaime Becomes The Queenslayer
Cersei has established herself as the Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, more by force than any real claim to the Throne, but how long can she really hold power?
The Lannisters aren't the military force they once were, and have lost key allies. They have no support in the North now the Starks have retaken Winterfell, and Daenerys is coming to challenge her rule from the South.
However, the biggest threat is right in front of her. Jaime sacrificed his reputation to prevent the Mad King burning King's Landing down; now he's arrived to see his twin sister and lover do just that.
Although I don't think Cersei's death will come until the end of the season, with some attempts from Jaime to get her to see reason, it will come down to him to kill her. With her children gone she has no redeeming quality, and the increasing signs of madness paint a dangerous picture for Westeros. Cersei may have showdowns with Dany, Jon, Tyrion and others, but in the end it'll be Jaime who ends her life, once again saving the realm, and earning redemption in tragedy.
