Game Of Thrones Season 7 Finale: Predicting Who Lives & Who Dies

8. Jaime Lannister

Where He'll Be

Initially sitting on his sister's left-hand, where he'll witness whatever plan she's looking to unleash on her visitors (after taking in the siege of the Unsullied and the Dothraki). Hopefully, we'll see him reassess his allegiance when she reveals exactly what she's up to.

Verdict: Lives

Jaime's destiny definitely feels inextricably linked to stabbing his sister in the back - whether that means actually or metaphorically. He's the more level-headed twin, even though he's supposed to be notoriously dim-witted in comparison to his siblings, and he's also more likely to have his head turned by the wight than Cersei is.

Unless Cersei strikes him down for betraying her, expect him to change sides and survive to fight the war against the Night King.

7. The Mountain

Where He'll Be

As always, by the side of his Queen, grunting inhumanely and staring his brother down.

Verdict: Dies

We need Cleganebowl, and we need the Hound to win, it's as simple as that. The Mountain is a terrifying prospect - he already was before he was tinkered with by Qyburn in all honesty - but he's arguably also the most malignant character in the whole Seven Kingdoms. He has committed unspeakable crimes that he hasn't yet been judged or punished for (even though he almost died) and it's about time he was taken to task for his first crime - burning his brother's face.

There can be no outcome other than a victory for the Hound, and his brother won't give him any alternative to killing him once they clash.
