The Case For

Jorah was never likely to die of greyscale, but the main reason for that was he was destined for a much more heroic death. Dying of a disease doesn't fit his character arc, but dying to serve his Queen does - and she's the whole reason he goes on this mission. It's odd to say that now he's cured, he's free to die, but that's where we are with the character. At the moment it's not clear how much else he has to do, and his death would make a big impact (on fans and certainly Daenerys) without changing the trajectory of the show too much. Indeed, if you want Dany to become really invested in the Great War, this is the death to do it, and their parting felt like they knew it could be a final goodbye.

The Case Against

Jorah is on this mission for Daenerys, but she's not actually there (to start with, at least), and there's a fair argument that his death should take place in front of his khaleesi, to add to the dramatic weight and tragedy of the moment. That could reasonably happen if she turned up, but he might also be safer then too (he'd surely be a priority for rescue if that were to happen). Jorah's story is very much wrapped up in Daenerys', but they've spent more time apart in recent seasons. Before he dies, they might need a little more time for reconciliation, and his death can then come more directly by giving his life for his Queen.
