12. Dany Feels Isolated And Makes Jon Choose

The celebration of the victory over the Night King didn't quite go as badly as it could have (this show has a thing about turning nice events into hellish sh*tstorms, after all) but it did further prise open the rifts in Dany's alliance.

Now that she's cursed with the knowledge of Jon's true parentage - and of his greater claim to the Iron Throne - Dany feels increasingly isolated and haunted by the idea that the North will rally behind him if they're presented with the choice of the pair. She's right, of course, but Jon affirms his commitment and his lack of interest in the Throne.

Clearly struggling with that idea, Dany tries to make Jon promise not to tell anyone about his family secret because the knowledge is dangerous. The fact that he then goes and immediately tells his siblings is going to come at a serious cost to their relationship and her trust of them. He's effectively made himself her enemy. it's just neither of them know it yet.
