Game Of Thrones Season 8: Ranking Every Character Worst To Best
3. Sansa Stark
Sansa Stark started the season as the Lady of Winterfell. Holding the castle in her brother's stead, she'd grown into the true leader it needed - someone who was invested in the North's interests first and foremost, and understood the practicalities necessary to rule.
Sansa has transformed a lot over the years, and this season saw a lot of her influences come out. As she butted heads with Daenerys and told Tyrion secrets, it was quite clear to see elements of Cersei and Littlefinger in her.
What she has that they didn't, though, was empathy and care for people beyond herself and immediate family, and in that sense we got to see just how much she was still Ned and Catelyn's daughter too. With one of Sophie Turner's strongest performance yet, that mix of duty and honour with political nous is extremely compelling, with some great little moments as nice flourishes too, including that touching scene with Tyrion in the crypts. By the end, she's QUEEN IN THE NORTH, complete with that incredible dress, and it's one of the series' best character endings.
