Game Of Thrones Theories: 10 Epic Season 5 Moments Still To Come
1. Lady Stoneheart Rises
Yes, they've said they aren't doing it, but believing anything a showmaker says about their big twist should be taken with a big pinch of salt.
The way the plots are turning - Sansa's helplessness, the Boltons' rise, the Freys' lack of retribution and the impermanence of death (Jon Snow, Mance Rayder, the Mountain...) - Lady Stark's rebirth seems entirely pertinent.
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, and the newly rebranded Lady Stoneheart has seen more scorn than most. Even if her appearance is only as a very brief cameo right at the end, it's the best way to go.
The Evidence:
Obviously the revelation that Michelle Fairley was playing "Hooded woman" in the final episode (a listing that was quickly pulled) is a big hint.
But also, having been kept under wraps for as long as possible, the final episode's title has now been revealed, and it seems pertinent to the story. Mother's Mercy.
Yes, it might well be trolling, but it's difficult to pick out another narrative thread that matters enough to have a title name check. Unless Selyse is finally going to kick off at Melisandre for trying to kill her daughter (though that seems unlikely).
