Game Of Thrones Theories: 10 Epic Season 5 Moments Still To Come

7. Bolton Blood Is Spilled

The Boltons have a world of pain waiting for them sooner or later. Jon Snow knows they've got Winterfell and that they killed his family; Stannis Baratheon and his half-frozen army are on their way; Littlefinger is plotting against them and Brienne is waiting outside to ride in and take some names.

They can't continue to sit unmolested on their stolen Northern throne, and all that remains is confirmation of how they'll get their comeuppance, and who will die.

The Evidence:

More hope than anything else.

The cumulative agenda for Season Four seems to have been about making Ramsay Bolton a bigger malignance than Joffrey Baratheon. A hard prospect, but given his sexual deviance, his threatening manipulation of women he gets bored with, his rape of Sansa and his flaying of Stella McCusker's old woman they've tried hard.

In traditional narrative terms (and yes, it's foolish to always expect that from the show), he has to get his comeuppance. But then again, it could be his father (if his biggest crime does come back to literally haunt him), or Ramsay's potential little brother, who is on a knife edge given the threat to the former bastard's status. They're all pretty precariously perched.
