Game Of Thrones Theories: 10 Epic Season 5 Moments Still To Come
5. Mormont's Great Sacrifice
And continuing on the same theme: the same set leaks (and the main trailer) spoiled the fact that the Fighting Pit would see an uprising of the Sons Of The Harpy, putting Dany directly in the line of fire after a season of rumbling insurrection.
It seems likely that she genuinely has been trusting the wrong person, since the shot from the trailer of her and her entourage surrounded in the Pit didn't actually show her betrothed, Hizdahr zo Loraq. Either he actually is the head of the SOH (as Daario joked), or he's going to die as a traitor.
Either way, the stage is set for Jorah to sieze the day and prove his loyalty to Daenerys by falling on a sword meant for her side (before Drogon swoops in and saves the day like the big obvious Deus Ex Machina he's destined to be).
The Evidence:
He's done for. Because of his greyscale and his compulsion to clear his name and declare his love for Dany, Jorah is probably the leading deadmeat candidate. And it would be a fitting end to his arc to see him given one last chance to prove his worth and make Dany realise (again) that she's pretty rubbish at choosing allies.
