8. Syrio Forel
Once the First Sword of Bravos, the diminutive Syrio Forel may be somewhat comically outsized by a Giant but his incredible skill with a blade would allow him to defeat one of these northern brutes. Indeed, it is feasible to say that Forel would have a chance against any warrior in any of the Seven Kingdoms. We saw Syrio showcase his skills in the combat style known as water dancing while instructing Arya Stark; somehow even against this limited opponent he managed to look impressive. We finally got to see a detailed account of the Essos fighters abilities when he single-handedly fended off Ser Meryn and a unit of the Kingsguard using only a wooden sword. Water dancing involves using fluid technique, movement and footwork to exploit the vulnerabilities of more plodding, armour-clad warriors. Giants may not be armour clad but they are most certainly plodding. Even in the most recent episode when we saw one sprinting towards Grenn, the enormous creature seemed extremely sluggish. Against this slow opponent, the First Sword of Bravos would be able to weave in and out of a Giant's range, gradually inflicting more and more damage. He arguably would not be able to deal a killing blow with his limited power, but Forel would be able to chip away and eventually overcome a Giant.
