Game Of Thrones Season 4: 12 Characters Who Could Steal The Show

5. Reek

It rhymes with freak. Reek is unique as he is both a new and returning character. Theon Greyjoy€™s life has spiraled out of control after his botched attempt to take Winterfell. His ill-advised plan worked for about a week until he realized he actually had to face the soldiers of the North. His own army knew it was a losing battle and left Theon for dead. No wait, a fate worse than death as Ramsay Bolton€™s pet. Last season was a waste of Alfie Allen€™s talents. It's understandable the show runners didn€™t want to lose the actor, despite Theon being missing for two whole novels. D&D were forced to reveal what happened to Theon between the events of A Clash of Kings and A Dance with Dragons, but unfortunately this meant Theon€™s entire story-arc was relegated to one big torture porn plot. Season two proved Allen could command a scene with his interactions with fellow cast members and his embodiment of the character. Just rewatch his infamous beheading scene for proof €“ the anger and confusion on his face was astounding as he can€™t decide should he go through with the beheading or not. His performance in season two is arguably the best along with Charles Dance and, of course, Peter Dinklage. Yet the Emmy€™s failed to recognize his work and left him without a much-deserved nomination. Season 4 looks to be diving into Theon€™s ADwD storyline sooner than expected. Without spoiling anything, his time as Reek is one of the best story-lines ever in the series history. Theon, no longer the arrogant, exuberant young man, has become an absolute shell of a human being. In fact, he is not even a man anymore €“ he€™s just another one of Ramsay€™s dogs to play with. Alfie will once again have the opportunity to steal the show once more.
