Episode: The Pointy End Khal Drogo, from his first appearance in the pilot, is described as a man to be feared. Undefeated in battle, he is never actually shown fighting until this short but brutal brawl in season one. This is a unique animal amongst the fight scenes in the show, because it relies heavily on the intimidating presence of Jason Momoa - who requested this non-canon scene to establish Drogo's claim to badass-dom - to work. Khal Drogo doesn't use any of his own weapons in this fight - he even makes a point of drawing two daggers just to drop them on the ground by his feet - but his words (and his opponent's blade) do all the fighting for him. While more of a triumph of writing and acting than choreography and staging, this grisly scene (punctuated by Drogo ripping out his opponents tongue, no less) convinced us that Khal Drogo had earned his right to be the ruler of the Dothraki.
