Games Of Thrones Season 7 Finale: What 'The Dragon And The Wolf' Really Means

10. The Child Means Everything To Cersei

Game of Thrones Cersei

Initially, it seems Cersei is drawn into an alliance with the Targaryen Alliance - despite Jon's refusal to give up his allegiance to Dany after the Great War - by the reality of what could happen to her unborn child. It seems that she has learned the value f life by growing it within her once more.

In a way, it is the child that propels her agenda, but not in the way she says to Tyrion.

Rather than wanting to keep the world safe of the White Walkers for her child to live in safety, she is still compelled by a desire to secure a future for her family line, and reveals her true colours to Jaime as such. She wants her child to rule the Ashes, not to cower to a usurper.

Once more, it very much feels like the stage is set for her to lose the child in the final season, as some sot of grim karmic retribution. And that will send her completely over the edge.
