4. Kate Hudson as "Cassandra July"
Despite the fact that Kate Hudson is only two episodes into her apparent 6 episode run as Rachel's Nyada Dance teacher Cassandra July she has already made quite the impact on the show and her character isn't over used and even has an important role to play. Obviously Glee were going to have to cast teachers for Rachel now that she has moved to New York, so why not cast the fallen star Kate Hudson in arguably her comeback role. She isn't the greatest singer nor is she even the greatest dancer but she can certainly hold her own and not make a fool of herself. She is a wonderful actress though and the skillful b****iness she evoked in just her two episodes (the first two of Season 4) was highly entertaining to watch. She is like the fresher more exciting Sue Sylvester on the show... but unlike Sue, her role actually has a purpose. Even though coming across as mostly the antagonist for Rachel, her backstory is already developed enough and we have already seen quiet moments with the character that make her sympathetic enough to make me genuinely intrigued as to how her specific character arc is going to play out.
