Gotham Season 5: Predicting The Fate Of Every Character

Sean Pertwee's unique take on Alfred, Bruce Wayne's butler and father figure, has been a fantastic addition to the show. His more active role in Bruce's development, teaching him how to fight, has shed a whole new light on the former S.A.S man, and Pertwee deserves particular praise for his unique performance.

Alfred, despite trying to stay out of the firing line, has often been in a lot of danger while protecting Bruce. The show had us believe Alfred died for all of five minutes last season, so if he dies again, it is doubtful that they would attempt to do the same once more.

Considering Bruce still has a long way to go until he is Batman, he will likely survive for much of the season. However, his death could serve as the final step in Bruce's transformation. If anyone is going to kill him, it would most certainly be Jeremiah, cementing his status as Bruce's nemesis and providing some doubt as to whether or not Bruce will spare him later in the show.
