20 TV Shows That Failed To Stick The Landing
19. Seinfeld
A key issue with a lot of shows on this list is how badly they miss the very point of their existence, and if you want the most infamous example of that you need look no further than Seinfeld.
Throughout its run, Seinfeld was a sitcom with a unique view of its characters, who weren't so much lovelorn New Yorkers searching for comfort as they were narcissistic chaos agents who unintentionally wreaked havoc wherever they roamed.
The joy of Seinfeld was always that the show knew this - that we loved the lives of Jerry, Elaine, George, and Kramer because of their flaws, not in spite of them.
It was a shame, then, that the series decided to end with the New York Four being punished for all the trauma and pain they'd caused throughout the show, landing themselves in jail. It didn't fit the preceding nine years of comedy, nor the point of who these people were - minor villains who always got away with it.
