Grey's Anatomy: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best

Season ten starts with a raging storm following the chaos of the season nine premiere. Webber is badly injured, Bailey is suffering from OCD, Meredith and Cristina's friendship is disintegrating, and April leaves her would-be husband at the altar after Jackson confesses his love for her. 

And this is just the tip of the iceberg, because season ten is surely one of Grey's Anatomy's most densely packed chapters. To its credit, though, almost all of it works, from Derek's invitation to work with the White House, to Callie and Arizona's separation. It sometimes ties itself up because so much is happening, but what happens is deeply rewarding.

The key storyline of the season comes from Cristina, who decides to leave the hospital to work wonders over in Switzerland. It's the end of an era, but the way she manages to leave Seattle so amicably and on her own terms makes for one of the show's few peaceful farewells.

Before the end, Cristina was the glue holding much of the show together, her loving but no-bullsh*t attitude making her an entertaining force to be reckoned with. Things would never be the same again, but who doesn't love a happy ending?
