Hannibal: 10 Things That Would've Happened Next
2. The Silence Of The Lambs
Sticking with the theme of Silence of the Lambs, the Clarice Starling origin has Bryan Fuller's artistic licence written all over it. Can you imagine slow motion animal slaughter and more blood than a Nightmare on Elm Street film?
The story of a backwater girl with her cop daddy, meant that Clarice always aspired to be in law enforcement. Her father was shot on duty and died a month later, which was a point that Lecter was all too quick to pick up on. After her father's death, Clarice was sent to her aunt and uncle's horse farm, where she witnessed the slaughter of lambs, citing the "silence" of the lambs.
However, her tragedy didn't end there. Clarice ran away and was taken in by a Lutheran orphanage, which all pieced together to make the tough and cold individual that Lecter meets. We do love a good sob story, and if Fuller ever did get his hands on Clarice, it would have been just perfect.
