Hawkeye: 8 Big Questions Raised By Episodes 1 & 2

1. Kingpin Has To Appear, Right?

Wilson Fisk first appeared in the MCU in Daredevil on Netflix, but with the rights to these characters returning to Marvel Studios, it's surely only a matter of time before he comes into the franchise properly, and Hawkeye would make perfect sense for him.

The series is taking a lot of inspiration from Matt Fraction's Hawkeye run, which features Wilson Fisk, and has brought in Echo, whose backstory also heavily features Wilson Fisk. Fans are calling for it, Vincent D'Onofrio is calling for it, is this the time the Kingpin returns?

In the source material, Kingpin raised Maya as his adopted daughter. She worked for him, duelling with Daredevil on occasion, before realising who he really was and rebelling away from him. Could it be that it is Fisk who is running the Tracksuit Mafia, and has just delegated the Hawkeye business to Maya for the time being? It has been said that as the Ronin, Clint destroyed the criminal underworld of New York, and we all know who runs such an empire. Is Fisk one of the enemies he made for himself during the Blip?

With rumours surrounding Matt Murdoch and Jessica Jones appearing in No Way Home and She-Hulk respectively, there is a lot of evidence pointing to Kingpin beating them both to the punch this year.
