When Ted decides that he wants to move in with Robin, Barney not only verbally shows him his distaste in the idea, but then decides to pull the ultimate shady move: stealing a truck full of his stuff.

Not only has Ted taken time to think about his move in with Robin, who he had been dating for a while at that point, but he also took countless hours loading all of his belongings into a moving truck. Barney steals the truck with the intention of showing Ted how ridiculous he is being.

On top of stealing all of his belongings and driving off to who knows where, he uses the truck as a movable place to seduce a myriad of women. Rather than bring them to his apartment, or go to theirs, he uses the truck of Ted's things as a place to have sex with copious amounts of women.

This is definitely something that no friend would ever do to another friend, even if you are not extremely close. This is a prime example of Barney not just crossing the line, but taking the line and playing jumprope with it.
