It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia: 10 Times Dennis Reynolds Embraced His Inner Sociopath
7. I Am The Golden God
High School can be a tough time for many people. Trying to find yourself and discover who you are, while navigating difficult social situations can be a scary experience. Proclaiming to your peers that you're a "Golden God" and referring to them all as your minions probably doesn't make it any easier.
When the gang returns to their old high school for a reunion, it becomes clear that they haven't changed much since. In high school, Dee was the butt of everyone else's jokes, and Charlie was just as weird, living up to the moniker, 'dirtgrub,' huffing any inhalant in sight in an attempt to fit in.
Dennis seems to have a warped memory when it comes to his high school days. He has convinced himself he was the most popular person in school and everyone else fawned over him, an attitude that has stuck with him in his adult years.
When the illusion is shattered, Dennis flies in to a fit of rage and retrieves his tools from a hidden compartment in his car while exclaiming everyone will "pay the ultimate price." The tools in question include duct tape, zip ties and a few other items that could be used to tie another person up. Dennis chalks it up to a fetish of his, which isn't too far fetched, but judging from his demeanour, it doesn't seem like his intentions are to seduce his former classmates.
