7. New Characters On-Screen
In taking a new direction, Legion seems likely to introduce many mutants we haven't seen before in a live action setting as well as exploring characters that we have only seen very little of. Seeing how certain superheroes and their respective powers are first portrayed on-screen is always one of the most anticipated aspects of a new show or movie.
It is interesting to note that Legion's first ever appearance was in New Mutants #25 in March 1985. Does this mean we are likely to see more of the New Mutants in this series? And, with a New Mutants movie on the horizon, will this TV series somehow play a part?
Furthermore, we could see appearances from versions of characters such as Shadow King (An entity which feeds off hatred and is able to possess humans) or Destiny (a mutant that can see the future and is an acquaintance of Mystique). Both feature heavily in Legion's comic book origins so a variation of them on-screen would be interesting.
