Loki: Every Main Character Ranked From Worst To Best
4. He Who Remains
After Classic Loki helped Loki and Sylvie past Alioth and into the Citadel at the End of Time, the two Variants finally came face to face with the real villain of the piece. The man who created the TVA and kept the timelines from multiversal war has a big future in the MCU, and his first appearance was as strong a start as could be hoped for.
Though Jonathan Majors will be appearing in the future as Kang the Conqueror, He Who Remains was only a Variant, and not quite as terrifying. However, he still managed to portray just how scared the MCU should be of the next big bad, by building the TVA and eliminating any timeline in which they may appear.
Before He Who Remains died, he was simply compelling, eccentric and unique in a way that allowed him to command every second he was on screen. He solely interacted with the two biggest characters in the series, and though fans had never seen him before, he never felt out of place.
The character was intimidating, but acted with a childlike wonder, and even though he had done terrible things across the multiverse, and ruined more people’s lives than just Sylvie's, he had a very good reason. He was the hero in his own story, and genuinely tried to save the universe from the multiversal war his other Variants will now bring.
