Love Island: 10 Reasons To Still Be Excited For Season 7
4. Genuine Love And Friendship
Love Island isn’t just all misery and hatred, that WOULD be bad telly. There are actually several instances over the years of the contestants gaining legitimate friendship, romances and bromances out of the show and it’s very refreshing to view. To see women support each other in the bond of the sisterhood and likewise, seeing men care for one another is a subtle but nice reminder of the importance and power of friendship.
Although it can’t be said for all of them, some of the romantic relationships to start from the show have turned out very successful too. Series 3 finalists Camilla and Jamie are still happily together after 3 years whilst Series 2 winners Cara and Nathan are married and currently expecting their second child.
But surprisingly, it’s the bromances which are the most enjoyable of all. Almost each year has one - The Two Lukes from Series 6, Dr Alex and pen salesman Jack in Series 4 and most famously, Chris Hughes and Kem Cetinay. Their bond was so beloved that the duo got their own spin-off TV series and their own song.
Love Island may always have drama but it’s true to its name – there is always love.
