Luke Cage Easter Eggs
Shaw Brothers

During Luke Cage's Seagate flash-back it turns out he learned his fighting technique from brief sidekick Squabbles, who was used to manipulate him in the prison by Rackham and Dr Burstein.

Squabbles in turn learned his fight trade from watching martial arts movies, which means we get mentions of some serious classics of the genre: Five Deadly Venoms, Clan Of The White Lotus, Five Fingers Of Death. There's also a mention of Jet Li's Fist Of Legend and the film it remade, Bruce Lee's Fist Of Fury (Squabbles says the remake is superior).

Five Fingers Of Death is also a favourite movie of the Wu-Tang Clan, who we know Luke is a whole-hearted fan of. That's why we hear the Clan's "Bring the Ruckus" at one point - albeit a sanitised version.
