Marvel's Luke Cage Season 2: Ranking Every Major Character From Worst To Best
3. Luke Cage
Luke's story arc across season 2 isn't the smoothest, despite Mike Colter giving it his best as always.
As previously mentioned, the newfound problem of Luke having anger issues feels artificial and not in keeping with the true hero that the first season depicted him as (it's also another theme we recently saw explored in Jessica Jones season 2). What's more, there's a lot of teasing about him becoming a Hero for Hire at the end of the season that comes to naught. Just do it or don't do it, don't troll us.
However, much of this can be forgiven thanks to the fascinating journey Luke goes on in the final few episodes. The finale might hit us over the head with its references to The Godfather, but the idea of Luke becoming the new king of Harlem is a brilliant one as it flips the premise of the show on its head. If they can live up to the promise of this twist, season 3 could be the best one yet.
