8. Agent Carter: Season 2

Returns: January 19th, 2016 The first season of Agent Carter turned out to be quite the pleasant surprise, solidifying Peggy's status as one of, if not the best female characters to come out of the MCU yet. Hayley Atwell has completely owned the role, and clearly everyone at Marvel knows how strong of an asset she is, as she's also continued to turn up on the big screen. Season two will feature the return of many faces from the first season, including fan favorites like Dominic Cooper's Howard Stark, Bridget Regan's Dottie Underwood, and, of course, James D'Arcy's Jarvis, whose friendship with Peggy is one of the highlights of the show. On top of that, the second season will feature actors like Ken Marino and Kurtwood Smith, is set to introduce Jarvis' wife Ana, and will see Peggy up against the villainous Madame Masque. There's a lot to love about the show and its period aspects, but Atwell remains the real draw. More Peggy is always welcome, and if the second season can keep allowing her to flex her dramatic and comedic abilities, and continue to explore more of her place in the MCU, it has every chance at avoiding the dreaded sophomore slump.
